Big Change, BIg Opportunity

Happy summer everyone! We have some exciting updates to share. Through a series of God-orchestrated events, Philip has been given the opportunity–if our Wycliffe budget is met– to begin his training at JAARS this September with a number of other pilots and mechanics serving with JAARS.

That means we will working toward moving to North Carolina in the next eight weeks!

This training is different than the Intercultural Communications Course (ICC) training we have talked about in the last few newsletters, and will be covering all Philip will need to know regarding the repair and maintaining of the aircraft used for Bible translation support around the world. Because of this updated timeline, we are postponing attending ICC until next year in order to finish building our partnership team so that we can move in September.

God has provided us with 75% of our budget (hallelujah!!) and we are praying in faith for the full 100% by the end of August.

We will be putting out more regular updates over the next few weeks as we work towards this goal. Our next update will have a more detailed description of Philip’s training program.

Summer has begun officially (even though Florida has been ready with the heat since May), and we have had some wonderful moments to start the season. We celebrated Philip’s first Father’s Day and Anna’s birthday. Malachi crossed the 2 month mark and is now smiling, cooing, and taking interest in the world and people around him. He also crossed the 14 lbs mark and is wearing 3-6 month clothes. Philip has finished the repairs needed on our fifth wheel RV home, and we had the blessing of a weekend getaway with some of Philip’s family.
