Settling In!
Greetings friends, and happy February! We have finished our first month in Ocala and things have been busy! God has been good to us. We have connected and reconnected with several pastors and friends in the area, started volunteering with the youth group of one of our partner churches, and are helping to start a young married couples group with another church in the area. Our prayer is that God will continue to open doors and connect us with people who are passionate about the work of Bible translation. We have also had the opportunity to share the amazing progress made in global scripture access in the last year with one of our partner churches. We love having the opportunity to share with the local church about what God is doing in the global church. We are looking forward to the Intercultural Communications Course which we will be attending in mid July. This course is meant to help prepare us for life in other cultural contexts. Thank you to those who have committed to partnering with us. We are thankful and excited for what lies ahead as our partnership team continues to grow.
Story from the field.
Churches, pastors, and leaders in the Nuba Mountain communities of Sudan have recently begun a translation movement. Translation efforts had begun there in the 1940s. However due to civil unrest the work had not progressed very far. After the recent cease fire, the church has come together and plans to begin engaging the roughly 100 languages that are spoken throughout the mountain range. The first step in their plan is to engage 31 languages over the next year by starting new projects, revising old projects, and translating the Jesus Film. Their hope is that by 2033 every language will have access to at least some scripture. You can read more by clicking the button below.

Pray for Anna’s health and for the baby as we progress through the pregnancy.
Pray that God will continue to connect us with the right people as we build our partner team.
