Much happening, Much coming!
Hello friends! We have now been Wycliffe missionaries for an entire year! The faithfulness of God and the partnership of so many people over the last year have been an incredible experience, and we are humbled to be in this season. Last month we became a family of three! Malachi Ross Mull was born April 29th at 8am. He is doing very well, and Mom is recovering nicely also. We also welcomed a new brother-in-law to the family with the marriage of Anna’s sister, we purchased a fifth wheel RV to be our new home, and we reached 61% of our ministry budget. Overall, April was a big month for us! As we take some time to adjust to the newness of parenthood, we wanted to use this letter to talk about future plans. We are on track to go to the Intercultural Communications Course (ICC) in July and are hopeful that we can move up to JAARS in North Carolina by the end of the year. We chose to buy an RV to live in while we are there both to save on living costs and to minimize the ever-threatening accumulation of STUFF in preparation for our anticipated transition overseas. While we still don’t know to what country we will be sent or when we will be going, we welcome your prayers over the upcoming move. Both in ICC and over the following time at JAARS, this will aid in our preparedness for our respective roles as mechanic and speech therapist. Please continue praying as we parent our little boy, and for the full provision of our budget to be able to begin all these things. The Lord has answered so many prayers over the last twelve months, and we are excited to see what He has in store for us in the next twelve.
Nigeria, one of the top five highest need countries for Bible translation, has seen unfathomable cooperation and planning to bring the number of waiting languages from approximately 250 in 2022 down to fewer than 30! This is due to two cluster projects made up of a total of 14 Nigerian partners and many local churches. These plans bring Nigeria to the cusp of being taken off the list of high-need countries, and for that we praise God! This kind of cooperation between churches and partners is a beautiful picture of the Body of Christ operating in unity for the sake of the gospel.
“There are so many ways in which God has uniquely designed us as members of His body to function and serve — individually and collectively — to make His name known among the nations.”
When you say “yes” to God’s invitation to participate in His kingdom, whatever the capacity, God-sized dreams become reality!
