It’s Official
Hello and welcome to our first official newsletter as Wycliffe members!! We have just completed the orientation for new members called Engage, and we are SO EXCITED about the ministry journey ahead of us. God is on the move and He is including us, His church, in the process of spreading His kingdom and glorifying His name in the earth. Philip and I see part of our current mission role as being a connection point between our partners (that’s you!) and the global mission by sharing the developments, prayer requests, and God-sized stories and movement witnessed by ourselves and our brothers and sisters across the nations. Another major part of our current job is developing a team of partners to join us in all capacities, not simply financial partnering but also prayer warriors and encouragers to cover us, build us up, and advise as we prepare to move into our roles at JAARS. We will be speaking with church gatherings, small groups, and individuals about joining the team in the months to come. If you’re receiving this, you are part of that team! We are beyond thankful for you and what you bring to this mission. Praise God! May He bless you and keep you!
Story
About 5 years ago, Philip took a trip to the Ngabe-Bugle province of Panama, deep in the jungle. While the team was there, some of the Buglere people showed him notes left behind by missionaries who had been there many years ago. We found out this week that those notes belonged to Wycliffe translators who were working on the Buglere Bible translation.
Prayer needs
-Partnership development is vital to our mission. Please pray that we would have discernment and success in developing our team.
-Pray for the Bible-less peoples waiting for God’s word in their own language
-Pray for the teams working to translate the Bible into those waiting language groups.
