Happy New Year

Happy 2024 everybody! December was a magical month filled with good food, sweet traditions, and lots of time with family. We are in Ocala now with Anna’s parents and plan to plug in at her family's church for the short time we are here. We are excited to reconnect with the friends and family that we have in the area as well as a few more churches that we used to be connected with. We are praising God and thanking our partners in the mission. We have reached 40% of our Wycliffe ministry budget! We are within the projected timeline that Wycliffe predicts and we are very excited for what God is doing.

Story from the Field

In the Yaganiza community of Mexico, God is on the move! The Yanganiza church is seeing growth as people hear God’s Word, sing worship songs and hear preaching in the language they clearly understand. 75-year-old Yaganiza church member Silvano rejoices that he now can hear the Word of God in his language after living most of his life without it and experiencing the difficulties of a community without it.. Silvano reported:

“The most beautiful experience that I have lived is listening to the Word of God in my language. [I don’t] know how to read, but the reading that has been done in my church has impacted my life; I have understood the Word of God. … [Scripture] has strengthened me and has brought peace to my heart.”

This is why we are so passionate about Bible translation. The Word of God is transformational when it is clearly understood, and we rejoice with Silvano and the Yaganiza people.
